New Chief Executive Officer appointed

The County Court of Victoria is pleased to announce the appointment of Judicial Registrar Daniel Caporale as the Court’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Caporale comes to the Court from his most recent role as a Judicial Registrar of the Supreme Court of Victoria. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, both in the operation of courts, and in the day-to-day experience of judicial officers.

Mr Caporale’s previous appointments also include District Registrar of the Federal Court of Australia, a Registrar of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, Senior Assistant Director of the Office of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions, and acting CEO of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Chief Judge of the County Court of Victoria, Peter Kidd, said the Court looked forward to welcoming Mr Caporale when he commences at the Court on 2 March 2020.

"Daniel’s extensive skills and knowledge, both on the bench and in managing the numerous and varied responsibilities of a modern court, will stand him well in his new role. I am certain he will be an outstanding CEO who will continue the County Court’s strong record of reforms and innovations to better serve the Victorian community in the administration of justice." Chief Judge Kidd said.

Mr Caporale said that he was extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with the Court. "I look forward to taking on the role of CEO, and assisting the County Court to deliver justice, with the highest standards of integrity and transparency, to the Victorian community" he said.
