The County Court successfully ran its sixth court user survey on 26 November.

The County Court successfully ran its sixth court user survey on 26 November.

This survey attracted a large number of participants and the results continue to show a high rate of satisfaction among court users.

Survey highlights include:

  • 205 Court users took the latest survey.
  • The overall Court user satisfaction on the day was 87%, in line with last August's result of 88%.
  • 91% of those surveyed agreed the people who work at the Court are competent and helpful, which is a slight increase from 89% in August.
  • 77% agreed they were treated with courtesy and respect by the Judge and Court staff, which is in line with 78% in August.
  • 62% believed that all parties to their matter were treated fairly, which is a drop of 7%.
  • 90% of respondents reviewed the new Court website positively.

The County Court runs its user surveys twice a year to help improve how users experience the court.

User surveys are a best practice tool within the International Framework for Court Excellence.

The County Court is grateful to everyone who participated in the user survey and who were involved in making it a success once again. Particular thanks must go to the law school student volunteers who helped to deliver the survey.

The next Court user survey will be held in June/July 2019.
