Justice in action: a study guide for teachers follows two fictitious case studies as well as providing discussion points, suggested activities and questions.
This study guide provides Victorian secondary school teachers and students with insights into the County Court of Victoria.
The guide follows two fictitious case studies, one civil and one criminal with each case study presented as a series of short films.
The films include interviews with court personnel as well as re-enactments of aspects of each case.
Curriculum links to VCE Legal Studies and the Victorian Curriculum are also provided.
Through the study of these cases, students can extend their knowledge of the roles of County Court personnel, court processes and sentencing.
Justice in action is also designed to accompany a collection of fact sheets prepared by the County Court for community use.
