Court Network

Our highly trained volunteers offer support and non-legal information for anyone going to Court. Our aim is to empower all Court users.

Court Network can assist with information about court procedure, legal services and community resources, and help finding interpreters, child care and disability access.

Court Network recognises there are significant barriers to accessing the justice system including:

  • lack of comprehensive, easy-to-understand information
  • lack of comprehensive services which recognise the diversity of Court users
  • culture and language of the Court
  • financial and emotional cost of justice.

Court Network provides a specialist Intervention Order Program for victims of domestic violence and a specialist service for victims of sexual assault and their families.

This includes:

  • pre-court information
  • viewing the Court facilities
  • support during and after Court.
