COSTS SCALE FOR  JUDGMENTS IN DEFAULT OF APPEARANCE OR DEFENCE
County Court (Chapter 1 Costs Amendment) Rules 2014  SR  150/2014

EFFECTIVE 6 October 2014

Appendix A to the County Court Civil Procedure Rules has been revoked.
County Court Costs Scale is now  a fee, charge or amount that is 80 per cent of the applicable rate set out in Appendix A to Chapter I of the Rules of the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court fix composite costs of $3200 for one defendant and an additional $500 for each further defendant. Costs of $800 are fixed in subsequent judgments in the same case.

THEREFORE THE COUNTY COURT WILL FIX $2560 COSTS FOR ONE DEFENDANT PLUS $400 COSTS FOR EACH FURTHER DEFENDANT. COSTS OF $640 WILL BE FIXED IN A SUBSEQUENT JUDGMENT IN THE SAME CASE.
