The County Court of Victoria honours the immense contribution and dedication of former Chief Judge Michael Rozenes.

The Council of Judges, CEO and staff wish to acknowledge and thank the former Chief Judge for his outstanding and inspiring leadership of the County Court during the past 12 years. 

Former Chief Judge Rozenes was committed to creating a modern and progressive Court, and delivering the very highest standards of justice to the community.

The County Court is an intermediate court in the Victorian Court hierarchy. The Court has a civil and criminal jurisdiction and can hear all matters except Murder, Manslaughter and Treason cases.

The Celebratory Sitting for His Honour Michael Rozenes AO QC, which was to take place on the 21st of August, has been postponed.

The penalty interest rate has been reduced from 10.5% per annum, set on 11 August 2014 to 9.5% per annum, from 1 June 2015

July 1, 2015

The County Court Criminal Division will publish monthly time to trial data for the first time in its history beginning from 1 July 2015.
